To the editor:
State Senator Toni Boucher is a person who is measured by her actions and good results for the people of Connecticut. She is not a person to support failed and damaging tax and spend policies of single party, big government prevalent in Hartford. Her achievements working to keep taxes low and stop new ones from burdening families in Connecticut -work in education and improving Metro-North – real results. She has done this while fighting for higher education standards, particularly early childhood education reform and reading intervention programs.
Leadership is a description that is overused, but not when examining the hard work of Toni Boucher.
As our Chief Deputy Minority leader, Boucher believes in a simple principle that Connecticut State Government needs to be run the same way our individual and family budgets are run and held to the same standards. We need to be not only accountable, but to grow and thrive. This will be achieved in Connecticut by re-electing Toni Boucher and people like her to the Connecticut Senate and Connecticut Assembly.
I recently received a notice that my health care premiums are being doubled. I am now expected to pay costs of other individual’s coverage through the Obama Health Care “Reform” plan – a new tax on my earnings. The Democratic administration in control of Hartford wrongly believes this type of policy improves the overall health and welfare of Connecticut residents, I disagree.
I am experiencing first hand proof that Hartford and National policy is broken and does not reflect the will of the American people. Large positive steps forward to recovery start with simple ideas of responsibility, accountability. We are reassured that faithful representatives such as Toni Boucher will provide much needed positive change for the people of Connecticut. We need to keep Toni in Hartford!
