To the editor:

I have known Elise Major for 20 years and strongly endorse her as a candidate for the Board of Education.

Elise has demonstrated her leadership abilities as chairperson of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Council, president of both the WMS and WHS PTO, and former United Way board member. She has proven her knowledge, understanding of key issues, and interest in education by serving on theStrategic Planning, Calendar, and NEASAC committees.

She has a balanced view, a good knowledge of our schools and will represent all of Weston as a member of the Board of Education.

- Kay Byrnes

Elise Major’s years of dedicated service to our schools will make her a valuable member of the Board of Education. As a devoted PTO president of both the Middle School and the High School, Elise has worked effectively with principals and PTO boards. Elise has a personal understanding of how student needs change as they progress through the Weston schools.

I have served on the Strategic Planning Committee and the NEASC Committee with Elise and I have been impressed by her ability to balance the needs of all members of the Weston community. Elect Elise as a voice with experience.

- Mary P. Hassett

Elise Major is an excellent choice for Weston’s Board of Education.

I have worked closely with her for years on both the WMS and WHS PTO boards and found her to be organized, budget conscious, creative and committed. Elise has been an active volunteer on each school’s PTO, as well as president of both the middle school and the high school.

As a result, she has developed good working relationships with the school administrations and the ability to truly listen to parents’ concerns. In addition, Elise has served on Weston schools’ Strategic Planning, Calendar and NEASC committees. She is knowledgeable of the mission, goals and objectives of our school district.

Vote Elise Major for the Board of Education.

Elise Major really impressed me at the recent League of Women Voter’s debate for the Candidates for Board of Education.

Elise’s 12 years as a volunteer for the Weston PTOs (including serving as president of both the WMS and WHS PTO), was evident, as she was very knowledgeable on the key issues confronting our schools.

I have worked with Elise on several projects – she is smart, fair and a collaborative team member.  Please support Elise Major for Board of Education in Weston on Nov. 5.
