WESTON, Conn. -- The Weston Historical Society will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, March 26, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the museum, 104 Weston Road.
The event will include both a look back at the previous year and a look ahead to the organization's future.
Dallas Kersey, the Historical Society's president, will present highlights of the 2015-16 year and an update on the group's 2016-17 programs, which include the Music in the Barn concert series beginning this spring and the World War II exhibit next fall.
Treasurer Michele Schassberger will present the financial report.
Officers and trustees will be elected, as well.
Members of the Historical Society will also review the group’s oral history project, an initiative to preserve Weston’s history by collecting the stories of people who have experienced it firsthand.
Trustee Arne de Keijzer will take the audience through project, highlighting the stories already preserved by the Historical Society, along with plans to chronicle the lives of other Westonites.
Following the presentations, there will be a reception at the museum.
