Friday morning, Ralph Fonza of Bethany, CT is alone with the fish at this section of the Saugatuck, near the Westport-Weston line. It's an area designated as stocked with trout, he explained and this is his first time fishing it. The Department of Environmental Protection's weekly newsletter reports: "Anglers can expect fishing to be outstanding this weekend. A line of thunderstorms refreshed flows in many areas Wednesday evening and good (though warm) weather is forecast... with nearly 700,000 catchable-size trout stocked this spring, there are still plenty of trout waiting for anglers throughout CT." Ralph says he plans to fish in other spots throughout this holiday weekend.
