WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Connecticut Food Bank is seeking volunteers for its Thanksgiving Food Drive to be held Nov. 21 at Stop & Shop at 1790 Post Road E. in Westport.
The shifts available are as follows:
- 6 to 8 a.m. Nov. 21
- 8 to 10 a.m. Nov. 21
- 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 21
- 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 21
- 4:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 21
Limited slots exist for each shift. Email Kim Damien or call her at 203-469-5000, Ext. 311, to sign up.
Slots will be assigned on a first-come basis. Minimum age for children volunteering with a parent is 10 years old. Students 15 years and older may volunteer without a parent.
If you wish to donate food, you may do so from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Stop & Shop. Click here for a list of preferred items.
Connecticut Food Bank, a private, nonprofit organization, works with corporations, community organizations, and individuals to solicit, transport, warehouse and distribute donated food.
