Vinny Georgetti, 80, Formerly of Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. – Vincent "Vinny" Rudolph Georgetti, formerly of Westport, died April 12 at his home in Easley, S.C. He was 80.  

Georgetti was born in Bronx, N.Y., to the late Amleto Frank and Rose Zarcone Georgetti. He worked as a meat cutter and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pickens, S.C.  

Locally, Georgetti was a former member of Assumption Parish, Westport Veterans of Foreign Wars post and the Westport Police Athletic League. He was a coach and umpire of the Babe Ruth Baseball League and was an avid New York Yankee fan. 

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Fiorillo Georgetti; a son, Frank (Patti) Georgetti, of Simpsonville, S.C.; four daughters, Lori J. (John) Rothermich, Tricia A. (Rick) Tutunjian, Janine M. (Jason) Jones, all of Easley, and Vicki Lynn (Rafael) Rodriguez, of Stratford; a brother, Frank Georgetti Jr., of Florida; a sister, Vera Felix, of Bridgeport; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Harding Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Luke Church in Westport. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
