The Tony Award-winning Nine will run through June 28 at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 2 p.m. on Sundays at the Westport Community Theater, 110 Myrtle Ave., in Westport. There will be an additional matinee at 2 p.m. on June 27.
Wyant is an Emmy, CLIO and Grammy-award winning actress, director and producer. A student under New York City’s Herbert Berghof Studio legend Uta Hagen, Wyant has shared the stage with the likes of Donna Summer and Maxine Nightingale in off-Broadway and European productions. She’s directed at Carnegie Hall and has been honored by the New York Film festival.
Nine is the tale of celebrated film director Guido Contini and his pursuit of a plot for his latest film, all the while fending off the countless pursuits of beautiful women vying for his affection. Originally created in 1982, Nine saw a revival in the theaters in 2003 starring Antonio Banderas.
Mark Graham will direct the Westport Community Theater’s version of Nine, produced by Sam Mink, Robert Watts and Wyant. Choreographed by Carol Schweid, cast members joining Wyant on stage include Beth Bria, Josie Bielmeier, Mia Cenholt-Haulund, Ainsley Dahlstrom, Lisa Dahlstrom, Nicholas Ferreira, Stephanie Ficarra, Karen Hanley, Sarah Hernandez, Robie Livingstone, Jodi Maxner, Lucia Palmieri, Bennett Pologe, Janice Rudolph, and Betsy Simpson.
