for Missing Dog

WESTPORT, Conn. – It's been more than two weeks since Andy, an 11-year-old tan and white Corgi, went missing during a visit in Westport. Now, a professional dog tracker from Boston has been called in to assist family and friends with the search, a family friend said Tuesday.

Andy and his family, from Massachusetts, were visiting friends in Westport for the New Year when Andy was scared away by fireworks. Since he ran away, there have been several reported sightings in the area, including Norwalk and Fairfield.

The tracker is expected to arrive Tuesday afternoon, a message on the "Bring Andy Home" Facebook page said.

The family is offering a $1,000 reward for Andy's safe return. Anyone who may have seen Andy is urged to call his owners at 908-399-9428 or 781-264-5243. People are also urged not to call out to Andy if they see him, as it will likely scare him away. Instead, keep him in eyesight and call animal control or the police (non-emergency).
