The event will be Friday, Oct. 21, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

You can sample from 88 wines carefully selected by Cory D’Addario, the wine specialist, and now proprietor of Liquor Locker in Westport.

It’s the 26th Annual Wine Tasting and charity auction — enjoy the wines, chat with friends, bid on the exciting items, many of which are hard to get. Help Sunrise Rotary support its 30 area and international nonprofit organizations — from Homes With Hope to Greater Bridgeport Literacy Volunteers to Tree of Life Orphanage in Haiti.

Buy your ticket, $60, online. Your donation is tax deductible.

D’Addario’s wine choices run to the artisanals — beautiful, though often not well-known labels, “sustainable, organic, biodynamic, and fair trade” wines from smaller vineyards, all tasting above their price.

You will be able to sample from a full spectrum — some truly enjoyable, modestly priced everyday choices as well as a selection of Chateauneuf du Pape wines and two Premier Cru Champagnes.

You can also sample from among12 craft beers, including a seasonal Thimble Island Dark Pumpkin Porter, the all-malt single-hop Breckle’s Brown Ale from Anchor Steam Beer and Woodchuck Amber Cider.

All items will also be available for purchase at case discounts of 10 percent.

Wines will be presented courtesy of 14 of Connecticut’s finest distributors. Their representatives and the Liquor Locker’s staff will happily answer your questions — particularly in matching food and wine.

OnTheMarc Caterer will offer seasonal hors d’oeuvres, crudités, cheese and crackers, and a selection of fruit tartlets and sweets to accompany the wines and beers.

And the auction will include a variety of superb experiences and items, some in a silent auction, others in the live auction.

Bid on court-side tickets for two to two UConn men’s basketball games, and court-side tickets for two to two women’s games; The Art of Butchering class, taught by Fleisher’s Craft Butchery in Saugatuck; four 2017 first base field level MVP Yankees tickets with free parking and free snacks in the MVP club; Westporter Jane Green’s new, lushly photographed, beautifully bound and autographed new cookbook, one of just four copies; a three-month family membership to Westport-Weston Family Y; and many more.
