Talk To Describe Life on the Lachat Farm

WESTON, Conn. – Westonites can get a behind-the-scenes look into some of the photographs on display at “The Celebration of Farms and Farming” exhibit as Jeff Wilkins, son of photographer Bruce Wilkins, talks about life on the Lachat farm.

Wilkins’ father, who was a commercial artist, took his camera with him on all the outings at the farm. His photographs have become a visual narrative of the property during the 1960s and 1970s. In the exhibit, which has been extended through February, photographs and paintings depict scenes from farm life, including Lachat family gatherings and the Lachat property.

The talk, which is sponsored by Friends of Lachat, will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, in the Community Room of the Weston Public Library, located at 56 Norfield Road. The event is free and open to the public.
