- Paint, Draw & More, 25 Old Mill Road, Redding, 203-544-8551. Redding Parks & Recreation Community Center, Multi Purpose Room: Mixed Media Session 1 runs Sept. 17 to Oct. 22 and Session 2 runs Nov. 5 to Dec. 17. Thursdays from 3:05 p.m. to 4:05 p.m. ages 5-8. $110 per six-week session.
- Georgetown School of the Arts Adult Weaving runs Sept. 18 to Oct. 16. Fridays 10 a.m. to noon. This five-week course gives students the opportunity to work on a floor loom, table loom, and rigid heddle loom. Materials fee, payable to the instructor, is $30. Classes are $220 per five-week session. Registration can be made through Wilton Continuing Education (www.wiltoncontinuinged.org).
- Adult Drawing and Painting Session 1 runs Sept. 30 to Oct. 28 and Session 2 runs Nov. 4 to Dec. 9. Wednesdays 9:30 a.m. to noon. This class offers individual instruction for independent projects, regardless of skill level. Mediums available are drawing, colored pencils, pastels, charcoal, watercolor and acrylic paints, and clay. $180 per five-week session.
- Weaving runs Oct. 23 to Nov. 11. Fridays 4:15 to 5:45 p.m. for ages 8 and up. Students have the opportunity to work on a floor loom, table loom, and rigid heddle loom. They will learn how to make a warp, dress a loom, and explore weaving patterns. .$230 per seven-week session. $30 materials fee.
- Woodworking Session 1 runs Sept.18 to Oct. 30 and Session 2 runs Nov. 6 to Dec. 18. Fridays 4:15 to 5:45 p.m. Students also receive one on one instruction in the handling of simple entry-level power tools to complete a variety of projects tailored to the skill level of the student. $220 per six-week session. $30 materials fee.
