Calling all kids in Westport & Fairfield! This summer, children in Westport and Fairfield are asked to “Stand Up” for pets in need by donating proceeds made from lemonade stand sales to the Connecticut Humane Society.  Southport Veterinary Center, sponsor of The Lemon-Aid Stand Challenge, will match kids’ donations during the months of July and August, doubling help for the pets. Participating children and their families will be invited to a thank you event at the end of the summer, with certificates, prizes and more.

“We’re thrilled that Southport Vet Center is partnering with CHS for a second year in a row on this great fundraiser. It’s a win-win for everyone involved, but especially the pets lives saved because of the support in the community,” said Alicia Wright, Public Relations Director of the Connecticut Humane Society.

For details on the program, visit Southport Veterinary Center's website at southportvetcenter.com or visit Southport Vet Center’s facebook page . It’s easy! Sign up via email at news@southportvetcenter.com.

Connecticut Humane Society is located at 455 Post Road East in Westport. Lemon-Aid donations may be made directly at this location at any point during the summer months. Be sure to tell the staff when donations are from lemonade sales. The Connecticut Humane Society is the leading resource in the state for companion animal welfare; enriching the lives of families and communities through adoption services, medical care, education and prevention of cruelty. CHS does not euthanize for age, space, breed or time limits.
