The “Give Your Heart and Soul Charity Ride” was  held at SoulCycle’s studio in Westport to support Child Advocates of SW Connecticut’s mission of speaking up for abused or neglected children in Fairfield County.

Child Advocates of SW Connecticut recruit, train and supervise volunteers who are court appointed to speak up for vulnerable children.

“We are so grateful for the tremendous support from our community,” says Child Advocates of SW Connecticut co-founder and board member, Nancy Rebold. “We raised close to $11,000 at our charity ride. These funds are crucial as we receive less than 5 percent of our annual budget from the state.”

Event Co-Chair Jennifer Gerla arranged for Westport retailers West and Green & Tonic, as well as Beauty Counter, a national creator of safer beauty products, to sponsor the event by contributing to gift bags for each participant.

Founded in 2010, Child Advocates of SW Connecticut is a not-for-profit public charity that recruits, trains and supervises court appointed volunteers who work to ensure that each abused or neglected child has a safe, loving and permanent home.

CAC has helped over 225 children from southwestern Connecticut through over 8,000 hours of volunteer monitoring and advocacy. CAC is a member of the National CASA Organization. CAC’s volunteers come from all backgrounds and life experiences.
