Snowplow Takes No Prisoners In Westport After Storm

WESTPORT, Conn. -- We asked for your photos and we got them. Westport resident Susan Carson sent in this shot of a mailbox that took the brunt of the storm.

The saying goes, "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds." But there was no mail delivery Tuesday after a nor'easter blew through the region, and the postman will have a hard time making a delivery Wednesday.

As Carson said, the mailbox was a casualty of a passing snowplow.

The snowfall wasn't a blizzard, but the storm left about a half-foot of snow across Westport and created a big mess on the roads along with a beautiful landscape.

Got storm photos to share? We'd love to see them. Send to ktensa@dailyvoice.com with the name of your town and a description of the scene.
