It might have been a snow day, but dozens of children and adults made their way to Kings Highway Elementary School in Westport on Wednesday afternoon. But they weren't there for school. They were there to sled.
About 19 inches of snow in total blanketed the town during the storm, which began late Tuesday and subsided by midmorning Wednesday. And all this fresh powder made for some serious sledding action.
Westport resident and mother-of-two Christy Colasurdo, her husband and her sons were among those enjoying the snow. Lucky for us, she brought her camera and captured some of the action.
