WESTPORT, Conn. Rose Riccio Gleason, who worked as a hairdresser for 40 years at Act One Salon in Westport, died April 29 at her Trumbull home. She was 64.
Born April 8, 1948, in Castelfranco, Miscano, Italy, to Matteo and Giovannina Riccio, she was a graduate of the National Academy of Hair in Bridgeport. She was an avid gardener and traveler, enjoying trips to the casino.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Howard Gleason; a daughter, Jennine Gleason; three brothers, Michael Riccio and wife Antoinette, Joseph Riccio and wife Kathy, and Pasquale Riccio and wife Louann; a sister, Lorie Buzzanca and husband Joe; and a sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home in Trumbull. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Church in Trumbull. Burial will follow in St. Monica Mausoleum of Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
