WESTPORT, Conn. Robert M. Pinto, a former Westport resident, died June 6 at Milford Hospital. He was 78.
Pinto was born Dec. 14, 1933, to Alphonse Pinto and Caroline Troiano. An Army veteran, Pinto was a 50-year resident of Westport before moving to Milford.
He is survived by four sons, Kenneth Pinto, of Bridgeport, Daniel Pinto, of Milford, Robert (Jamie) Pinto, of Trumbull, and Richard Pinto, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a daughter, Nora Pinto, of Milford; four sisters, Ann Kling, Norine Forcier, Angela Armentano, all of Norwalk, and Louise Kish, of Fairfield; a stepsister, Maryann Troiano, of Norwalk; and nine grandchildren. Pinto was predeceased by a stepbrother, Ralph Troiano.
A Mass was celebrated Monday at Assumption Church in Westport. Burial with full military honors followed at St. John's Cemetery in Norwalk. Harding Funeral Home handled arrangements.
