WESTPORT, Conn. -- A new public art project called "Tunnel Vision" is coming to Westport.
Miggs Burroughs is keeping the details of the public art project closely guarded until the official unveiling at 6 p.m. May 22 on the pedestrian walkway between Parker Harding Plaza and Main Street in Westport.
"A year in the making, 'Tunnel Vision' is one of the most ambitious and rewarding art projects of my career," Burroughs said in a press release. "It is an honor and privilege to have been asked to transform this unique Westport space from a practical passageway into a highly immersive and meaningful experience for tunnel-travellers of all ages and persuasions."
The "Tunnel Vision" unveiling will be part of the "Art About Town" celebration on Main Street starting at 5:30 p.m. May 22, with art, music, food and entertainment.
The Westport Downtown Merchants Association, WIN Properties, and the Betty R. and Ralph Sheffer Foundation are helping with the project costs including cleanup, painting and new lighting.
