WESTON, Conn. -- Lachat Town Farm in Weston will have its first annual Family Daffodil Dig from 1-3 p.m. Saturday.
Thanks to the town beautification committee, which has donated 250 bulbs, community families are invited to come to the farm, plant bulbs and enjoy hot cider, cider doughnuts and a bonfire, depending on weather.
Bring the whole family, and a spade if possible, to enjoy the day. The rain date will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday.
The mission of the Town's Lachat Oversight Committee is to provide ways to unite all generations around a community farm effort by celebrating Weston's farming roots through extensive educational programs related to agriculture, the environment, sustainability, nutrition and the arts, as they relate to the history of Weston and its diverse community.
