A large contingent (30 to 40) of unescorted teenagers boarded a train from South Norwalk to Danbury Friday evening. Their behavior was beyond the norm of what can be expected of kids that age. Fighting, screaming, climbing over seats, spitting, yelling, cursing frightening small children and upsetting otherwise peaceful passengers. When asked where they were from, they proudly proclaimed Westport on the way to a 'Dayglow' concert in Danbury.
If you are a parent of one of these kids, you should be ashamed! They had absolutely no consideration for others, had no regard for the impact of their behavior on younger children nor did they respect the property in which they rode.
The conductor had to stop the train, delaying passengers arrival at their destinations, to move the unruly mob to a car of their own. Later, the conductor commented he had to break up a fight of kids who clearly appeared drunk. Parents: You know who you are if your kid was on that train. Try a bit harder to raise someone of whom you could be proud!
