NORWALK, Conn. – David Park has new information to share about kayaking in and around the Norwalk Islands.
The third edition of Park's "Kayaking in and around the Norwalk Islands" is now available, with updates about the local osprey population and new activities out around the islands that he says is worth noting. Other examples of new information include the U.S. Fish & Wildlife conservation efforts on a few of the islands and improvements on Sheffield Island by the Norwalk Seaport Association. The cost of the book remains at about $10.
There is even a reference to a "Kayaking in and around the Norwalk Islands" Facebook page.
The improved book includes just about everything you need to know about kayaking in the Westport, Norwalk and Darien area, Park says. Chapters include details on kayaking local rivers, coastal areas and off-shore islands. Kayak safety, island history and wildlife are also discussed.
