Marie Scofield, 77, Westport Schools Bus Monitor

WESTPORT, Conn. – Marie C. Robertino Scofield, a bus monitor for the Westport schools, died May 2 at Norwalk Hospital after a short illness. She was 77.

Scofield was born May 7, 1934, in Stamford to Petrina Lella and Michael Robertino. A longtime resident of Norwalk, she worked at Clairol Inc. in Stamford for 27 years. For the last 17 years, Scofield worked as a bus monitor for Westport schools. During summers, she worked as a park attendant at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport.

An avid billiards player, she was a fan of the New York Yankees and tennis. Scofield also enjoyed reading.

She is survived by three sons, Daniel H. Scofield, Gary T. Scofield and Paul M. Scofield; three daughters-in-law, Cindy, Pauline and Holly Scofield; two sisters, Joan Robertino of Southbury and Rosemary R. Tracy of White River Junction, Vt.; a brother, Michael Robertino of Willington; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Monday at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home in Stamford, followed by burial at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Stamford.
