Patti Wunder of Easton has always had a fondness for paper.
"There's a big difference between OK paper and fine, quality paper," said Wunder. "Someone who has never given much thought to paper can feel the thickness. When you write, ink just flows so smoothly and the writing looks better."
Wunder launched her website for Easton Place Designs in July 2010. She provides custom stationery, greeting cards, birth announcements, stickers, place markers, labels and gift tags anything on paper. Even her business card comes in an envelope sealed with an Easton Place Designs sticker.
She recently launched her baby line . And if a client dreams of a design that isn't on her site, she'll "whip something up" for them.
Despite her fondness of paper, Wunder draws all of her designs on a pen tablet. "It's very freeing," she said. The pen tablet allows her to easily change the color of a design and to fix lines without starting over. In the past six months, Wunder has also begun to design websites and banners for blogs.
Growing up, Wunder was "always one of those kids that hand made cards." She studied education in college and said "teachers learn to be very creative people."
She named her company Easton Place Designs for her love of the town. "It's the best of both worlds it's close to the city, but we have cows." The majority of her products are printed at her Easton home.
"It's great for me to be a stay-at-home mom and volunteer and go to functions and still have a career. I know a lot of mothers struggle with that," said Wunder. "I have a real support team here."
