Longtime Easton EMT Needs Help To Get A Kidney Transplant

EASTON, Conn. — EMS Assistant Chief Adam Goldstein has been helping the community by working for Easton EMS for the past 17 years.

But now he could use some help. For the past nine years, Goldstein has had end-stage renal disease and has been on dialysis, according to the Easton EMS Facebook page. 

He is on the transplant list at Yale-New Haven Hospital, but he is having problems getting a donor kidney. 

His blood type is Type O and he has high antibodies, which makes it difficult to receive a donation from a cadaver. 

Anyone who is willing to get tested and donate a kidney is asked to contact the Yale Transplant Center at 866-Yale-Txp (866-925-3897). Tell them you would like to get tested for Adam Goldstein.
