WESTON, Conn. -- The Weston Daily Voice accepts signed letters to the editor. Send letters to weston@dailyvoice.com.

The following letters all were submitted supporting Patty Kopas for the Weston Board Of Finance.

To the Editor:

I got to know Patty during a St. Francis of Assisi Church youth mission trip to Appalachia a few years ago.

She impressed me as a person of both high intelligence and integrity. In the years she has served on the Weston finance board, Patty consistently has proven to be a fiscal conservative. But as an educator, Patty is in a unique position to be able to bridge the gap between budget management and maintaining excellence in our schools. Patty’s record speaks for itself. She will get my vote on Election Day.

Roger King

To the Editor:

Patty Kopas was one of the first friends I made in Weston when we moved here 19 years ago. From the outset, I knew Patty was special. Her candor, wit and intelligence always gets to the heart of the matter in record speed!

The Town of Weston greatly has benefited from Patty’s energy and insight as a volunteer in the schools, at St. Francis and on the board of finance. I believe she is essential in keeping Weston on a sound financial footing and should be re-elected to the Weston Board of Finance.

Susan Moran

To the Editor:

Patty Kopas has been a respected member of the Weston Board of Finance since 1999. She has played a major role in every budget decision since then, always working to keep our taxes in check.

Patty is particularly skilled when it comes to managing our internal services fund, which is critical to the financial health of our town. We need Patty’s commitment and experience on the board of finance. Please join me in voting for her Nov. 5.

Britta Lerner

To the Editor:

I am planning to vote for Patty Kopas on Election Day for the Weston Board of Finance. In the 14 years she has been on the board, she has demonstrated a real concern for our schools and our senior citizens. As a school principal, she has shown her expertise in education, management and finance.

We need Patty to continue her fine work on Weston’s Board of Finance.

Please return her to office on Election Day.

Martha Diamant

To the Editor:

Patty Kopas serves on our board of finance. She’s running for re-election. Patty has my vote.

I hope she has yours. She and her husband, Ken, raised their family in Weston. Their boys attended our schools. She’s committed to quality education. Patty’s been a school teacher. She’s currently a principal. She understands the relationship between school budgets and quality education. Patty is nonpartisan. She serves with honesty, competency, responsibility and civility.

I’ve known Patty for a long time. I respect her. I hope you’ll join me in voting for Patty on Nov. 5
