Hey, Fairfield: Santa Claus Is Coming To Town This Weekend

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Jolly Old St. Nick will ride into Fairfield on Saturday, Nov. 25, heralding in the holiday season with a petting zoo, a sing-along film and horse and wagon rides.

The Chamber of Commerce event begins when a hook-and-ladder ferries Santa Claus to Sherman Green around 10 a.m., when he’ll take his place at the decorated gazebo to hear children’s holiday wishes until 2 p.m.

The ever-popular children’s petting zoo runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting, and wagon rides will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Feeling a bit peckish? A food truck will be available with breakfast sandwiches and coffee, as well as hamburgers and hot dogs.

DJ Scott Nickel will pipe in the classic holiday tunes to set the seasonal scene.

Back by popular demand, Fairfield Theatre Company will open its doors for a sing-along version of the family film “Frozen” at 1:30 p.m. Doors open at 1 p.m. and admission is $5, while tickets last.

Nov. 25 is also Small Business Saturday and several local businesses will be open for holiday shopping.
