Luke Greenfield, who has owned a home in Westport, turns 42 on Wednesday. The film director was born February 5, 1972, in Manhassett, N.Y.

In 1999, Luke co-wrote and directed the short film, "The Right Hook" and got his first opportunity to direct a studio feature film called "The Animal"

He is best known for writing and directing "The Girl Next Door." With the success of "The Girl Next Door," 20th Century Fox and New Regency gave him a first-look producing/directing deal, and in 2004, he created his own production company, WideAwake, Inc.

In 2006, Luke directed the critically acclaimed television pilot, "Aliens in America" for NBC/Universal Studios. At the same time, he also developed a passion project from an original idea he had created with his producing partners called, "Big Brothers," (which would later be titled, "Role Models.").

Currently, he has written, produced and directed the 20th Century Fox film, "Let's Be Cops" releasing in the Spring of 2014.
