"Pink Day" is a day of building community, spreading the love of gardening and raising some money for one of the most widespread forms of cancer - breast cancer.
Attendees can decorate some pot covers and then select a pink blooming plant to purchase for your home garden.
There will be a “pink trail” through Gilbertie’s and a prize drawing for all completed pink trail guides returned before 4 p.m.
Some of the Fairfield County plein air painters will be painting on Gilbertie’s grounds and exhibiting their artwork. Proceeds from their “shoebox paintings” sales and 10 percent of Gilbertie’s sales on Pink Day will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
