Fundraiser to Help Buy Monitor for Westport EMS

WESTPORT, Conn. – A Labor Day weekend fundraiser at the Birchwood Country Club may have taken in enough money to purchase a new patient monitor for the Westport Emergency Medical Service.

The fundraiser was held for the Westport Volunteer Emergency Service, a nonprofit that supports Westport EMS by providing personnel, vehicles and equipment.

Proceeds will help buy a machine that monitors patients' vital signs, provides advanced cardiac monitoring and treatment and measures oxygen and carbon monoxide concentrations in the blood. This piece of equipment will better allow Westport EMS to provide superior pre-hospital care to residents.
