Since 2009, First County Bank has been a proud partner and supporter of the program, according to a press release.
“Without local organizations like First County, our programs would not be sustainable or have the opportunity to grow," said Program Director Nancy Pratt in a press release. "We are grateful for the support of First County Bank and their generosity.”
The Norwalk Mentor Program was established in 1986 in partnership with Norwalk Public Schools. It was the first school-based mentoring program in the country, according to a press release. As a program of the Human Services Council, it matches students in grades K-12 with positive adult role models, according to a press release. There currently are 228 mentor/mentee matches.
