WESTON/WESTPORT, Conn. — Charles Frumberg, founder and portfolio manger of New York-based Emancipation Capital, will be the featured speaker at the next meeting of the Y’s Men of Westport/Weston.
The meeting will be held March 24 at the Congregational Church at 245 Post Road East, Westport. He will talk about the current state of the investment industry.
Frumberg, who founded Emancipation Capital in 2003, has over 30 years of investment experience, including analytical, deal and investment experience at various investment banks.
Before founding his current firm, Frumberg was co-head of equities at SG Cowen, managing a 350-person healthcare and technology sales and research team. He was also a member of SG's merchant and venture banking committees. Before that he co-headed global research at UBS Securities, and led technology investments for its merchant bank. He also served on the UBS Management Committee for seven years.
Frumberg earned a bachelor's in economics at New York University, graduating with multiple academic honors in 1979. He attended NYU’s Stern School of Business as part of its BS/MBA program. He serves on boards of directors of several public and private companies.
