EASTON, Conn. -- The rides are a scream and the food is great at Easton's carnival - but the hot spot to place a bet and win some cash is at the bingo tent.
For just a dollar, gamblers can take their chances with three bingo grids. Volunteer firefighters call out the squares one-by-one and participants anxiously dot their cards with a bingo marker.
Eastonites Luke Brawley, Tristan Green, Matt Caruso, Russell Bennett and Mike Green got to the tent just in time for the first round of Bingo. Katie St. Raymond and Libbey Walker, also Easton residents, were there, too, for the first game.
