The Easton Garden Club was working hard Friday to set up for its Garden Mart on Saturday. "It's a great fundraiser. Everyone works so hard to dig up perennial plants from their gardens to sell," said Janet Klein, a member of the garden club.
Easton-grown perennials and hanging baskets perfect for Mother's Day will be available for purchase, as well as agricultural products from local farmers. The club members have also baked brownies, pies and other treats for purchase.
The event will be on Easton's Firehouse Green at Sport Hill and Center roads from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The Garden Mart is a rain or shine event, and admission is free.
