WESTPORT, Conn. Carol Georgette Moore, a former Westport resident, died June 1, surrounded by her family. She was 77.
Moore was a 29-year resident of Westport, before moving to Newtown, Conn.
She was born June 24, 1934, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Marjorie Bittman and Paul Fulton. Moore enjoyed art, entertaining and gardening. A movie buff, she also was fond of theater. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Moore is survived by a son, James A. (Kelly White) Moore Jr., of Redding, Conn.; two daughters, Jean A. Leonard, of Newtown, and Jennifer A. (Graeme) Mean, of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Doris Fulton, of The Villages, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James A. Moore Sr.; a sister, Gloria Fulton Hartman; and a son-in-law, Michael J. Leonard.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ and Holy Trinity Church in Westport. Burial will follow at Willowbrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Harding Funeral Home in Westport.
