When you help name Westport artist Nina Bentley's gold-plated birdhouse, you'll also be helping girls and young women who have been victims of abuse and neglect.
The birdhouse was made for Westport-based Project Return , which serves girls and young women at its group home and through an after-school community service program called HEAL, among other initiatives.
"It is conceptual in nature and concerned with social issues," Bentley says of her art. "From early childhood I have been moved both by aesthetics and the human condition."
The winning name will be picked in a drawing at the Birdhouse Stroll in downtown Westport on March 10. One winner will receive two tickets to Project Return's 25th anniversary auction, which will be held April 1 at the Rolling Hills Country Club in Wilton.
You can see and suggest a name for Bentley's birdhouse at:
Max's Art Supplies, 68 Post Road E., Westport, through Feb. 12
Westport Pizzeria, 107 Main St., from Feb. 14 to Feb. 28
