Big Book Sale Slated at Library

Literature buffs will be in heaven this weekend when the Easton Public Library holds it hardcover book sale. During the past three weeks, library staff emptied more than 400 boxes containing thousands of donated books. Library Director Bernadette Baldino said the Friends of Easton Library has been a great help this year.

"Due to these difficult economic times, the library's materials budget has suffered a 40 percent reduction over the last two years, making this sale more important then ever," Baldino said.

Shoppers will find a wide range of adult, teen and children's hardcover and paperback fiction and non-fiction, CDs, audio books, DVDs, VHS tapes, video games, puzzles and other games.

The sale will take place in the Library's Community Room and begins with "First Pick" on Friday, Nov. 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friends of the Easton Library members may take advantage of this "First Pick" opportunity for free, others by donating $10 or joining the Friends group.

Admission is free and open to the public on Saturday, Nov. 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call the library at (203) 261-0134.
