Bestselling Author Hosts Book Talk On 'The Outliers' At Westport Library

WESTPORT, Conn. -- New York Times bestselling author Kimberly McCreight will speak about her new young adult trilogy "The Outliers" on Friday, May 20, at 4 p.m., in the Westport Library’s McManus Room.

Books will be available for purchase and signing at the program, which is free and open to the public. 

"The Outliers" is a series in which a girl learns that in a world of intrigue, betrayal and deeply buried secrets, it is vital to trust her instincts. 

The book has been optioned for a film by Lionsgate, Mandeville and Reese Witherspoon’s Pacific Standard. Nicole Kidman will star in the film and executive produce the adaptation of the book through her Blossom Films.

McCreight is the author of "Reconstructing Amelia" and her newly released paperback, "Where They Found Her."

At the book talk, McCreight will also talk about "Where They Found Her," a novel about a community struggling with the consequences of a devastating discovery. 

"Reconstructing Amelia" was a New York Times bestseller nominated for Edgar, Anthony and Alex awards. 

 McCreight attended Vassar College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
