WESTPORT, Conn. -- Author Will Schwalbe is set to visit the Westport Library to discuss his international bestseller "The End of Your Life Book Club."

The special author visit will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Westport Library's McManus Room.

"The End of Your Life Book Club" is a "memoir about (Schwalbe's) mother, her love of reading and how the two of them began a conversation about books that evolved into a meditation on life, death and the power of literature to transform, inspire and heal," according to the press release.

Schwalbe works as senior vice president and editor-in-chief of Hyperion Books, is founder of Cookstr.com and is a journalist. He also serves on the board of the Kingsborough Community College Foundation.

"The End Of Your Life Book Club" spent 12 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list in hardcover and paperback. It was named an Entertainment Weekly Best Book of the Year, was one of Amazon’s top four best books of the year, won an Indie Choice Honor Award, and was awarded the Books for A Better Life Award for Best Inspirational Memoir. It has been translated into 10 languages.
