Something sweet is coming to Sport Hill Farm in Easton on July 13 and Marina Marchese, owner of Red Bee Apiary in Weston, is making it happen. Marchese will host a honey tasting from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
You may not be aware of it, but there are many types of honey. Depending on the location, the nectar and the source, the color and flavor can be very different, as you will learn. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste seven different honeys with assorted local breads and cheeses. Marchese will show how to evaluate the varieties using the Honey Sommelier tasting guide featured in her new book, "Honeybee: Lessons From an Accidental Beekeeper."
