CLASP Homes, Inc., a local not-for-profit organization serving people with autism and related developmental disabilities is joining with the Westport Inn to host the 10th Annual "Taste of Westport" event from 6 to 9 p.m. May 1. There will be a silent auction, wine and cocktails from some of Westport's and Fairfield County’s finest dining establishments. All monies raised will be used to support CLASP's residential, recreational and vocational programs, according to a press release.

"This year we are honored to celebrate Tracy Flood’s 30 years of service to CLASP Homes," representatives said. "Tracy is the glue that holds the agency together. She has been with CLASP since the beginning and has weathered many storms for the residents that CLASP serves on a daily basis."

Each balloon purchased will be displayed at the 2014 Taste of Westport event. Each donor’s name will be printed on his or her balloon and in the program journal.

"We offer highly personalized services that enhance each person’s independence, dignity and continued growth," CLASP representatives said in the release. "As a non-profit community organization we are dedicated to increasing public understanding of the people we serve and their ability to be contributing members of the community."

A Taste of Westport is the effort of dozens of volunteers and organizations working to support the work of CLASP Homes, Inc. To learn more about CLASP, residents can visit the CLASP Westport website. Tickets for the Taste of Westport event can be purchased on the Taste of Westport webpage.
