For owners Helen and Demetri Zervos, homespun hospitality comes as second nature. Their comfortable Tavern on Main has been a staple on the downtown Westport dining scene for years.
Now, the duo is bringing their signature warmth to Ridgefield, and drawing on their Mediterranean heritage to create a menu and space that is as authentic as it is welcoming. Joining the couple in this endeavor are their sons Anthony, John and Leonardo, making La Piazza a true family affair.
Chef Bob DelBuono, a graduate of Connecticuts Lincoln Culinary Institutes Center for Culinary Arts, will head the kitchen. Chef DelBuono prides himself on doing things the old-fashioned way, which is to say he likes to make his own food. From stocks to sauces to pastas and desserts, what comes out of Chef DelBuonos kitchen was made in Chef DelBuonos kitchen.
