Westport Dog Festival Barks Into Winslow Park This Weekend

WESTPORT, Conn. -- The first annal Westport Dog Festival has been postponed to Sunday due to last weekend’s washout conditions.

The first Westport Dog Festival will be June 12 at Winslow Park.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Winslow Park. Dogs are welcome.

Presented by the Westport Weston Chamber of Commerce and Choice Pet, the event will include awards for best tail wagger, best trick, most looks like owner, most obedient and more.

Garavel Auto Group will sponsor a doggie fun zone obstacle course and there will be demonstrations by police, rescue, guide and hunting dogs and animal control.

Guests can learn more about aging dogs, Lyme disease, proper diet and allergies during veterinary seminars, and there will be vendors and food trucks available.

Admission is $10 per person or $25 per family. The event is produced in association with t.a.i.l.s.
