Jim Clark and his band are set to perform at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Westport Arts Center.

“Jim Clark: Jazz Saxophone Giants” will feature Clark on saxophone, Chris Coogan on piano, John Mobilio on bass, and Jim Royle on drums. The group is set to perform the music of Lester Young, Charlie Parker, Sonny Stitt, Dexter Gordon, Stan Getz, John Coltrane, Zoot Sims and Sonny Rollins.

"Jim Clark is a world-class saxophonist and an award winning composer who has composed and produced soundtracks in a wide variety of styles for numerous corporate clients," representatives said. "No matter where he plays, he always plays from the heart to achieve the highest level of musical excellence."

Westport Arts Center Jazz curator Brian Torff said he is looking forward to the performance.

“I once had the honor of playing alongside the sax great Zoot Sims,” said Torff, “and when we finished the tune, he turned to me and said, and ‘You sure can have fun with these musical instruments.’ Zoot was right, the saxophone sings on and Jim Clark is here to show us the way.”

Tickets to the concert are $25 for adults and $10 for students with a valid I.D. Tickets are available in advance at (203) 222-7070 and the Westport Arts Center website. The Westport Arts Center is located at  51 Riverside Ave.
