Solis is a licensed massage therapist, certified aesthetician and reiki master. She worked for the now-shuttered Simply Body, in Shelton, for seven years.

"I decided to branch off on my own," Solis told Daily Voice. "Running my own studio, I can space appointments further apart, and I can talk with clients more and find out about their personalized needs."

Solis said she became an massage therapist because she'd always had a strong interest in the holistic healing and the positive impact it can have on the mind, body and spirit.

She's a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. She's trained in relaxation massage, therapeutic massage, hot stone massage, reflexology and pregnancy massage. She also offers personalized aromatherapy, to complement any massage.

Solis obtained her reiki master certification from the Blue Healing Light in 2006.

"Reiki is an energy method that accelerates the body's natural healing process," she explained on her website. "It helps ease and release mental, emotional and physical trauma; balance and increase energy; and strengthen the immune system and promote overall relaxation."

Solis offers reiki either as a stand-alone service or as in combination with massage.

She graduated from Ricci's Academy of Aesthetics and Skin Care in 2009. She's trained in facials, glycolic treatments and waxing -- and she expects the service list to grow with the business.

Solis is currently the only full-time therapist in the office, but she's recruited one part-time therapist already. First-time clients schedule their first appointment through her, and future appointments can be scheduled online.

"Please be patient when calling to make appointments," Solis added. "We're still growing, so you may have to leave a message."
