Suzie Creamcheese , a Westport style institution since 2005, just reopened in a new downtown Westport location, sharing space with the interior design boutique Love & Co. Suzies new store is located at 68 Church Lane, across from Christ & Holy Trinity Church.
After closing her doors this summer, Suzie Creamcheese owner Robin Singer, a Los Angeles fashionista transplanted to the East Coast, has been prepping the new space for opening. The collection remains a mix of edgy, stylish clothes and accessories that give a nod to Suzies rock-and-roll moniker. The new spot makes the retailer more accessible to the foot traffic on Main Street, and just in time for last-minute holiday shopping for gifts that dont look last minute.
The shared space model is a trend among boutique owners who are finding overhead more affordable when split among retailers. Casa Ryan, a new beauty, home and hair boutique across from the train station in Westport, is another space where shoppers can find a well-edited selection for their wardrobes and homes.
