EASTON, CONN. -Autumn is synonmous with apple picking and at Silverman's Farm in Easton, families have been busy enjoying all the wonders of these ripened crops.
On a recent sunny Sunday, families enjoyed a host of activities.
There were lots of apples to choose from, of course -- Cortland and Macoun are in season at the moment -- along with a market full of homemade goodies, a pumpkin patch and an animal farm.
The orchard is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily; weekend scenic tractor rides begin later this fall.
