Book sale hours are 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday (half-price day) and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday (contribution day).

Click here to watch for special offerings, including a limited, signed edition of Dali’s “Dali: A Study of His Art-in-Jewels,” a Plantin Press edition of Roman dramatist “Seneca’s Tragedies” (published in 1576 in Antwerp) and 37 of the first 40 titles — all out-of-print — from the Firearms Classics Library.

Deeply discounted books will be for sale in more than 70 categories from art to zoology, plus two new categories — New England/New York and fashion. More than 100,000 items will be available, including hardcover and paperback books (fiction and non-fiction), vinyl records, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks and children’s books.

For fans of children’s books, vintage, signed and pop-up books will be together inside the library, along with art, photography and more special offerings.

This year’s sale is dedicated to Howard Munce — artist, Westporter, library friend and dedicated volunteer, who died recently at the age of 100. His personal book collection, principally art books, including many signed by other artists, has been donated to the sale and most will be inside the library.

Admission to the sale is free. Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted. Prices start at 50 cents for mass-market books and children’s paperbacks, and there is no sales tax on purchases.

Shoppers are invited to join the library’s awareness campaign by posing for a photograph by professional photographer Pam Einarsen inside the library on the main level from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. The “Geek the Library” photos are part of a program that recognizes individual passions. Participants will receive free digital and print copies of the photos with what they “geek.”

Please e-mail Suzy Hooper at shooper@westportlibrary.org if you're interested in volunteering.
