WESTON, Conn. -- A private Weston garden inspired by "Alice in Wonderland" will be open to the public as part of The Garden Conservancy's "Open Days" program on Sept. 22.

Located Adjacent to Frances Palmer's pottery studio is her large cutting garden, which inspires her pottery and photography.

The garden is home to more than 100 different shapes of dahlia. Colors and textures abound, as dahlias interweave with tomatoes, zinnias, amaranth, sunflowers and herbs.

September is reportedly the peak of the garden's crop of flowers, vegetables and herbs.

The garden will be open on Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Based in Cold Spring, N.Y., the Garden Conservancy has been opening some of America's best private gardens to the public since 1995.
