WESTPORT, Conn. – Who wants to cook when it’s so hot you break a sweat just thinking about turning on your oven? Thanks to your friendly neighborhood butchers at Saugatuck Craft Butchery in Westport, on Sunday, July 22, you won’t have to. They’re throwing their first annual Pig on the Plaza party, and everyone is invited.
From 5 to 7 p.m., owner Ryan Fibiger and his team will be cooking one pig in a traditional smoker and roasting another in a La Caja China box, which works kind of like a Dutch oven, cooking the pig from the top down.
Saugatuck Grain & Grape will provide beer and wine for the party and the tab for this pork-fest. And the tab works out to $15 per person for everything.
To make sure there’s enough to go around, make your reservations in advance and buy your tickets through the Saugatuck Craft Butchery website.
