"We had simply outgrown where we were," Robert Forrester, president and CEO of Newman's Own Foundation and executive chairman of Newman's Own Inc., said at an event celebrating the release of the Paul Newman stamp Wednesday at the company's new space on the Post Road East.
"Finding a new home for Newman's Own was not a choice but an imperative," the organization said in a brochure handed out at the event. "We had outgrown our old space and were working from three separate locations."
The new office contains art created by some of the people the organization helps along with displays of some of Newman Own's more than 200 products, which range from the company's famous salad dressing to popcorn.
Since its inception in 1982, the Newman’s Own food brand has donated its profits of more than $430 million to charity.
It was founded in 1982 by actor and philanthropist Paul Newman, a longtime Westport resident.
